The Commemorative Magnums

Two wines, two expressions of our identity, a special format to celebrate an important milestone.

On the occasion of Cantina Rauscedo’s 75th anniversary, two new commemorative Magnum bottles were unveiled, dedicated to two selections of Sauvignon and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso.

Produced in a limited edition, these Magnums were created to celebrate a special occasion and preserve its memory over time. The label, simple yet commemorative, accompanies two wines that each express, in their own distinctive way, the depth and richness of the territory.

The bouquet slowly unfolds, revealing the richness of ripe fruit. Plum and blueberry blend into an elegant interplay, giving way to precious notes of cocoa, spices and evolving nuances that speak of the time spent ageing. On the palate, it is full-bodied, enveloping and authoritative. Its structure accompanies the sip with natural harmony, while silky, measured tannins support a long and refined finish. A wine that does not seek to impress, but to leave a lasting impression. It finds its most authentic expression alongside game, roasted red meats, grilled dishes and mature cheeses. It enhances the great dishes of Friulian tradition, from stews with polenta to frico, and surprises with its elegance when paired with beef tartare, where every nuance finds its perfect balance.

The bouquet opens with elegance and depth. Ripe citrus notes intertwine with aromas of tropical fruit, while the characteristic vegetal notes of Sauvignon emerge with finesse, evolved and harmonious, never overpowering. A complex, enveloping and unmistakable expression. On the palate, it reveals its full identity. Rich, generous and perfectly balanced, it combines volume and freshness with a savoury structure that carries the sip with effortless continuity. The aromas perceived on the nose return with precision, extending into an exceptionally long aromatic finish. A Sauvignon that does not chase intensity. It expresses it through balance, elegance and depth.
