550 people celebrate a historic milestone for Cantina Rauscedo: heritage, sustainability and a vision for the future

Saturday, August 1, was a special day for Cantina Rauscedo. On a warm summer day, around 550 members, employees and guests gathered to celebrate a historic milestone for our cooperative — an occasion that brought together the memory of our roots and our vision for the future.

Above all, the anniversary was an opportunity to look back on a story built by people, rooted in the territory and driven by the spirit of cooperation, while looking ahead with confidence to the challenges and opportunities that await Cantina Rauscedo in the years to come.

Our roots, our vision for the future

The event opened with remarks from our President, Dr. Antonio Zuliani, who paid tribute to the founding members and to all those whose work and commitment have helped shape the history of Cantina Rauscedo.

These are values that belong not only to our past, but continue to guide every decision we make today. Among their most tangible expressions is our growing commitment to sustainability, which has become a central pillar of our development strategy.

Our General Manager, Dr. Flavio Geretto, then presented the vision that will guide Cantina Rauscedo in the years ahead.

At its heart is a clear objective: to strengthen the Rauscedo brand, making it increasingly recognizable to consumers and transforming the reputation built over decades of work into a brand that conveys quality, reliability and a strong sense of place.

This vision is being translated into concrete actions: the redevelopment of our facilities, the creation of new spaces dedicated to hospitality and wine tasting, strategic partnerships, and a broader initiative to enhance our territory — starting with zoning and a deeper understanding of the different characteristics and vocations of our vineyards.

The celebration was also attended by Dr. Michele Leon, Mayor of San Giorgio della Richinvelda and a member of our team, who took the opportunity to pay special tribute to our members and to the women and wives who have accompanied the cooperative's journey, working alongside their families and playing a fundamental role in the development of our agricultural businesses.

This event celebrates our history, but it also looks to the future and reminds us that cooperatives have a fundamental role to play in environmental protection and in promoting new models. With its brand, Rauscedo can truly become an ambassador for Friuli's wine culture around the world. From this anniversary, we look to the world with the ambition of promoting our land and introducing it beyond Italy's borders through the flavours and wines of Cantina Rauscedo.”

Following the Mayor, Regional Councillor Dr. Stefano Zannier and MP Alessandro Ciriani addressed the audience.

The President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, Dr. Massimiliano Fedriga, and the Italian Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Francesco Lollobrigida, also took part through video messages. Their presence highlighted the importance of Cantina Rauscedo not only as a leading wine producer, but also as an integral part of the local community and a key player in the regional wine industry.

Sustainability as a responsibility

One of the highlights of the day was the presentation of Cantina Rauscedo's first Sustainability Report, prepared in accordance with the GRI – Global Reporting Initiative standards, with technical and methodological support from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. The report reflects our commitment to measuring and transparently communicating the progress we have made, identifying 6 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and strengthening our ESG commitment, with a particular focus on sustainable viticulture and SQNPI certification. The Sustainability Report was presented by our colleague Michele Leon, through a clear overview of the data and concrete results achieved.

The figures tell the story of a journey built on tangible actions:

☀️ 53.05% of energy from clean sources, thanks to 464.59 kWp of photovoltaic installations; 🌳 165 trees planted at our Codroipo facility; 💧 22% reduction in water used for washing operations; 🌍 80 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided every year.

But sustainability also means taking responsibility for our community. This is why our commitment extends to supporting schools, associations, sports organisations and solidarity initiatives throughout the local area.

A tribute from Maestro Giorgio Celiberti One of the most evocative moments of the day was the unveiling of a work of art by Maestro Giorgio Celiberti, created to enrich our historic headquarters. In the presence of the artist, President Antonio Zuliani, Vice Presidents Michele D'Andrea and Fabio D'Andrea, and Mayor Michele Leon unveiled the artwork, created in cast aluminium. The work will now become part of the spaces of Cantina Rauscedo, representing another meaningful connection between our history, culture and territory.

A celebration of our community

The day came to a close in the most natural way: with toasts, conviviality and togetherness — elements that have always been part of our identity. This anniversary was not simply a celebration of the past. It was an opportunity to reflect on who we are today and, above all, on who we aspire to become tomorrow.

A story built together. A territory to be celebrated. A future to be shared: this is Cantina Rauscedo.
