Flavio Geretto is the new General Manager of Cantina Rauscedo.

An appointment that marks the beginning of a new chapter for the historic Friulian cooperative, under the banner of shared vision, organizational growth, and a strong bond with the local area.

Cantina Rauscedo announces the appointment of Flavio Geretto as General Manager. A strategic decision that ushers in a new phase of development for the cooperative, built on collaboration, organizational strengthening, and a forward-looking vision for Friuli.

Founded in 1951 through the union of an entire village, the winery today represents a solid, well-structured organization deeply rooted in its identity. Its 2,000 hectares of vineyards, located between the Tagliamento, Meduna, and Cellina rivers, tell the story of a form of viticulture born from a unique territory—both fascinating and demanding—resulting in authentic wines that express the community and its culture of hard work.

Geretto’s appointment comes at a positive time for the cooperative, at the conclusion of a consolidation process that has strengthened its structure and future prospects.

“In recent years, we have undertaken an important growth journey, consolidating our organization and laying solid foundations for the future,” says President Antonio Zuliani.

“Today we felt the need to take a further step forward, not only from a commercial standpoint, but above all in terms of organization and strategy. We chose Flavio Geretto for the vision he has demonstrated throughout his career—a vision that combines development, effective governance, and the enhancement of people. We are confident that his experience will guide the cooperative into a new phase of growth, further strengthening its Friulian identity.”

A professional with over 27 years of experience, Geretto has developed cross-functional expertise in both commercial and managerial fields, combining strategic vision with operational capability.

“I am joining at a meaningful moment, when the structure is solid and fully aware of its potential,” states the new General Manager. “I have found a qualified organization and competent, motivated people. And when there are capable people, businesses become simpler: work improves, decisions are made more clearly, and growth becomes more harmonious.

I deeply believe in the cooperative model—not only as an organizational structure, but as a vision for the future: working as a team, sharing goals, and combining skills to face increasingly complex markets. The future of Italian wine, and Friuli in particular, also depends on the ability to work as a system.

I love Friuli for its authenticity, the pragmatism of its people, and the strong work ethic that can be felt here. Cantina Rauscedo embodies this identity in a coherent and credible way. My commitment will be to further strengthen the organization, enhance human capital, and ensure continuity in a path of balanced growth, with respect for members and the local territory.

When a structure is qualified and the vision is shared, challenges turn into opportunities. The goal is to build long-term value, consolidating the Winery’s role as an authentic expression of Friuli and its capacity for cooperation.”

With this appointment, Cantina Rauscedo is ready to write a new page in its history, combining deep roots with forward momentum, guided by the values that have shaped its journey for over seventy years and by its commitment to fully expressing Friuli’s winemaking potential.
