Cantina Rauscedo has taken over the management of Fossa Mala Winery

Cantina Rauscedo has taken over the management of Fossa Mala Winery, an important player in the Friulian wine industry.
Our President describes the agreement as “a historic and strategic step”:

“This is an essential move to further develop our presence in Italy and abroad, together with a partner with whom we fully share the values of quality, innovation, sustainability, and positive impact on the local area.”

Under the agreement signed on October 22, 2025, Società Agricola Fossa Mala transferred to Cantina Rauscedo its wine production and bottling operations for both white and red wines. The transaction includes the management of the winery’s facilities and equipment, while ownership of the vineyards and land remains with the Roncadin family, founders of the Fossa Mala brand.

“The collaboration with the Roncadin family stems from a deep alignment of vision and values,” explains Antonio Zuliani. “This is an operation focused on the future of the region, aiming to protect its excellence and support the companies that operate within it. We believe that quality, in a modern sense, is achieved through a shared and coordinated process—from the vineyard to the winemaking stages—always under the supervision and certification of qualified third-party bodies.”

Edoardo Roncadin, speaking for Fossa Mala, also emphasizes the spirit of the partnership:

“This initiative was conceived to ensure sustainable growth for Fossa Mala, both in Italy and abroad—growth that would not have been possible on our own. The choice of Cantina Rauscedo as a partner comes from a shared vision, focused not only on expanding into new markets but also on innovation, enhancing the region, and continuously pursuing quality through virtuous and sustainable models.”

With this acquisition, Cantina Rauscedo strengthens its production capacity and reaffirms its commitment to protecting and promoting the identity of the region, while at the same time expanding its reach and competitiveness in international markets.
